Sweet Fuse: Mikami Path

Mikami is a fun and outgoing college student who the heroine encounters early before the incident in the game. (Unlock-able after completing one character's path) He appears to be gentle and friendly in the beginning but becomes mysterious as the story progresses. If I were to describe him, I see him as a "refreshing" person. xD Mikami is my 3rd favorite next to Shidou and Towa. I don't really mind how lunatic he gets because I can somehow empathize with his situation. If only he had met someone like Saki in his life who will rage and get mad at his actions, he probably won't be so cynical and twisted.

If you want to progress the story without spoiling the real mastermind, I suggest this order of play-through.

Meoshi-Mitarashi-Urabe-Shidou-Towa-Shirabe-Mikami

*Don't play Towa first. I did play his route first so I immediately found out the real identity of the mastermind.*

You must  have at least completed one character's route before you unlock Mikami's. His route is really tricky. I had to reload my quick saves several times because I always get game over. xD Gosh. Mikami's personality is really unpredictable. Sometimes, you have to be brutally honest with him even if you think your answer will hurt him and other times you have to be sympathetic or else you're dead. lol. My advice is to always be honest and never lie to him and you'll get along fine.

Sweet Fuse: Towa Path

Wakasa is a member of a famous idol group and is the youngest among the bunch. He's cheerful, nice and energetic but can be a bit of a scaredy-cat sometimes. He whines a lot when he's scared which I found annoying at first but despite of his own unstable emotions and lack of physical strength, he's a lot reliable than he appears to be. (I'm looking at you Urabe, learn a thing or two from Towa. xD)

I'm a big pedo shota fangirl so I played Towa's route in my first play-through. He was a bit pitiable in the beginning because of his cowardly nature but I was surprised how much his personality improved in the latter part of the game. Towa is my favorite among all the guys and I believe he's the most suitable for the heroine personality and age-wise. xD Oh and another reason why he's my bias is because he was voiced by Kaji Yuuki! Towa's CGs were all asdfghjkl~ sweet and adorable. -insert fangirl scream here- and he has become quite thoughtful and brave in the end.

If you want to progress the story without spoiling the real mastermind, I suggest this order of play-through.

Sweet Fuse: Shirabe Path

Shirabe is a freelance journalist and the father figure in the game. He is following leads of a certain case and is in search of the truth all his life. Because of his work, he is pretty knowledgeable about general and technical stuff like an encyclopedia. xD At first I thought I wasn't gonna like his route because of the serious Pedophilia involved. (lol) He's a good and nice guy but I refuse to see him as anyone else apart from being an "oyaji", "ojisan", "ossan" (dad, mister, old guy) for the heroine (and my self). xD

If you want to progress the story without spoiling the real mastermind, I suggest this order of play-through.

Sweet Fuse: Urabe Path

Urabe is a fortune teller who always carries his crystal ball with him. He may seem gentle and calm but surprisingly he has serious emotional issues locked up inside of him. He's more like a psycho than psychic to me, lol. xD At first, I had neutral impressions about him but when I found out about his "real issues" I didn't think I'd dislike him more than the villain. xD For me, he's a coward who says that he wants to protect you but can only do so with his words. Also, he terrifies me. There was this one part in the game where he suddenly appeared that I got seriously freaked out and leaped out of my bed. Dx

If you want to progress the story without spoiling the real mastermind, I suggest this order of play-through.

Sweet Fuse: Mitarashi Path

Mitarashi is the muscle man and unexpectedly a popular host at a club in Ginza. When I first saw him, I thought he's some hunter or bandit because of his looks and personality. xD He kinda reminded me of Sakura (Dangan Ronpa). See what I mean? xD Mitarashi may be short-tempered and sharp-tongued at times but he's definitely one of the most reliable guys among the group. He's also quick to throw himself in danger just to save his companion's lives. I'm not really into muscular guys but he's quite a good and capable guy.

If you want to progress the story without spoiling the real mastermind, I suggest this order of play-through.

Sweet Fuse: Shidou Path

Shidou is the cool and calm (and handsome!) police inspector among the bunch. He is also like the group's leader because of his perceptive skills and logical thinking. He's my 2nd favorite guy in the game because I'm a fan of CCC (cool, calm and collected) guys. xD His route has full of revelations about the story so you might consider playing his path later on. And the artist (or anyone in charge of CGs) must have liked him because in all his CGs he appeared to be always handsomely-drawn whatever angle it is. XD

If you want to progress the story without spoiling the real mastermind, I suggest this order of play-through.

Sweet Fuse: Meoshi Path

Meoshi is the introvert gamer geek in Sweet Fuse. He's an awkward person but he also has an adorable and tough side to him. I can relate to his personality because I also immerse myself in anime, manga and games just to escape my own reality...

Here's how I did his route. I managed to get all his cgs through this. It's quite easy to get his bad ending, try not to get his affection around Stage 4 to 7 and there you go -- bad ending for you.

If you want to progress the story without spoiling the real mastermind, I suggest this order of play-through.

My Thoughts About: Goong (Princess Hours)

RAAAAAAAAAGEEEEEEEE. PAIIIIIIIIN. WHY O WHY... Okay I was only letting out my accumulated stress while reading this. haha. xD

It's been 7 years since I watched the drama of Goong and I still remember it like it was just yesterday. I liked that drama so much specially it's OST "Perhaps Love" which made me feel in love every time I listen to it. I wanted to read the manhwa a long time ago but the first few chapters always put me off because of the horrible drawings. >.< This time I decided to bear with it and good thing the illustrations became incredibly well-drawn after reading the first 10 chapters. I was already satisfied with the drama but I'm really glad that I decided to finish all 179 chapters of the manhwa even though most of the time I was raging and cursing the characters for being so unreasonable and annoying. The manhwa could have been finished in 50 chapters but every one was being hard and difficult so it became incredibly long. XD There were a lot of parts that were done differently in the drama so I still suggest for curious people to also read the manhwa. It's a looong read but it is worth your time, tears and anger. xD Also, be sure to have lots of patience, I tell you.. lots of it. XD

(Warning: There might be spoilers ahead so read at your own risk. :3)

While I was reading the manhwa, I already expected Shin to be cold and distant towards Chae Gyung like in the drama. I like the Shin in the drama but I prefer the one in the manhwa. Shin (manhwa) seemed more sweet, funny and loving to me compared to the one in the drama. There were a lot of times where I find myself laughing loudly because of his crazy actions too. XD Normally, I fall for the princely and gentle types but this time my heart is all for Shin~♥

As for Chae Gyung, hmm I like her both in the drama and manhwa. Yoon Eun Hye portrayed Chae Gyung very well and she was very amusing and cute in the drama while the one in the manhwa has her share of crazy moments but she appeared more strong-willed and matured to me. One thing I dislike about her is being indecisive and impulsive at times which causes misunderstandings and conflict between her and Shin. -.- I sympathized and cried for her a lot (manhwa) especially when she was forced to leave the palace but there were also times where I really want to throw her off a cliff (haha). She had a habit of taking all the burden herself while thinking that it's the best and only way to protect Shin and everyone though her actions only ended causing pain to everyone.

I loved all the characters and the only person that I despised all the time was Yul's mother. Even though Yul was being a two-faced jerk in the manhwa, I can't help but feel sorry for him. I mean who wouldn't? He was supposed to be the crown prince and future king of their nation but everything was taken from him because his father died. Even his future wife was married to someone else so.. I can somehow empathize with him and understand how at some point he ended up being so manipulative and crazy like his mother. His father was also a two-faced pretentious king and his mother was an evil-plotting villain so I guess it runs in the blood. xD lol. When Yul was finally decided to be the crown prince and he run away instead with his supposed to be psychopath fiancee, I got so annoyed with him. He wanted that title all along but then he just decided to throw it away just to burden Shin and then blames Chae Gyung for his actions.. I was like.. @#%$^%#@ >XC just please go to Africa and never come back again. >x(

I loved the manhwa all in all but I still prefer the ending in the drama. I understood that Shin was planning to make his younger brother handle everything when he grows up and plans on leaving the palace and marry Chae Gyung again but.. I think the ending was a bit rushed and vague. The author could have at least let us see them being a happy family together with their child somewhere in the future. :< Chae Gyung didn't even had a clean break up with his current med-student bf and no one knows what will really happen with Yul and Mi Roo. -.- Yul's statement was also still unclear when he said that he had still not given up his and her father's goals. Instead, some panels were wasted on Eunuch and the Sang Goong's love story wth. XD

Anyway, I give the manhwa a rating of 10/10. It wasn't really perfect but it was really a satisfying read. :)

My Thoughts About: Magi The Labyrinth of Magic

I just finished watching this awesome anime series yesterday and I can't really properly say how much I enjoyed it! It's been a while since I was able to find an anime that I marathon-ed within two days just to finish. Magi is a story about the adventures of two friends, Aladdin and Alibaba. I love that the series shows the importance of unconditional  friendship and unfaltering loyalty. The story tells us the many destinies changed and created by the bonds formed by these two. Although the story offers excitement and sometimes laughter to people, it also has its own fair share of darkness caused by poverty and injustice that is being experienced by people from different countries. This anime reminded me so much of various anime series that I grew up watching and loving like Hunter X Hunter, Fairy Tail and a bit of Shingeki no Kyojin.

Aladdin and Alibaba's friendship reminded me so much of Gon and Killua's from HxH. They travel together in their many adventures and depended on each other while facing obstacles on their travels. In my opinion, Aladdin is very similar to Gon especially their kindness and naivety. They both appear as their partners' strength and guide in times of confusion and weakness. Although Alibaba's a bit different from Killua's personality, they are similar in the sense of wanting to protect and be with their friend. Also, the constant use of fire and ice magic reminded me so much of Fairy Tail. Judal, one of the magi(s), appeared a lot similar to Fairy Tail's Gray Fullbuster and Midnight. Judal is the one in the far left, Midnght is the one in the middle and Gray is in the far right. They kinda look similar, ne?

I did say that this anime also reminded me a bit of Shingeki no KyoDjinn. xD and it is because of this. The djinns are like titans because of their enormous size and strength but personally, I believe djinns are more useful and of course friendly compared to the titans. They're also cuter too. Look at Ugo-kun. What a kawaii face he has. xD

And another reason why I love this anime so much is because I ship the main characters with each other (with the exception of Aladdin). Morgiana is soooo adorable especially when she pouts and supposedly blushes because of Alibaba. xD I hope the pairing can be canon in the future. xD

So overall, I really liked this series. The battles weren't really exceptional but the story is well told. I cannot wait for the second season. ;)

Otome Game: Zayay

Zayay is a short otome/mystery game made by Alera. The game has five different endings with about an hour of gameplay. You unlock an extra content after completing all the endings. You can get the game here

You wake up in a somewhat eerie place having no recollection of your memories. The first person that you meet is Zayo Byrone, an adorable looking demon bunny. But don’t let his cute and naive appearance deceive you though. You ended up asking him to help you get back your memories again to which he willingly agrees and even considers it a date. He brings you to a restaurant with quite exotic food, shows you downtown either to buy sweets or clothing, tours you around the forest to find berries and even accompanies you to the castle to meet their god.

It took me some time before I get Zayo to get attached to me. I tried searching for guides in the net but I just followed the hint from the author which is to be cute, naive and agreeable to the demon bunny and that's what I did so I somehow managed to get the real ending that I was lacking.

I tried to make a half-assed attempt at a walkthrough. I'm not really sure which ending is which since almost all the endings are somewhat similar to each other. ;_; But here it is anyway. You can get 3 different endings by following this path.

Walkthrough?

poke his ears
ask for help
A date?
go to forest
bears?!
we should be careful then
i love berries!
right
y-yes
take it and eat it
w-what is it?
thank you...
yes!
go to graveyard
war?
a g-gshost?!
say something
do you know any ghost stories?
we should investigate
how can you tell?
it's quite big..
i dont like them either
downtown
go to town
a bit...
sweets
i have money.
bloodstained roses
go to the restaurant
it's nice!
i want to order...
angel wings
w-what do you mean?
w-what?
why are you so nice to me?
stop asking
Deamond's castle
who is Deamond?
go to the castle
front door
say something.
do you really believe in your god?
who is Helia?
(save first)
stay with Zayo - lies ending
confess love - rejected
leave him - another ending

Otome Game: Mote Mote

MoteMote is a short otome game available for Android and iPhone. It says in the game that the chapters refresh every 8 hours but I was able to read all the chapters in one sitting without waiting.   *U* There are only 6 chapters aside from the prologue and ending parts. There isn’t much to say about the story though and there’s minimal love development between the heroine and the boys because it really is so short. By the time you’re able to pick which guy you want, the game already ended. ;_;

The game is about a heroine who is caught up between the guys who like her and want to be with her. Most of the time, you (heroine) act as a referee and stopper between those boys’ endless quarrels. Lol.

There are 3 romance-able characters -- Yusuke, the class president; Santa, childhood friend; and Syo , the transfer student from America. It’s not that really hard to get the ending of the character you want. I got Syo and Yusuke’s good ending in one try though I did Santa’s twice.

Yusuke is the almost perfect guy with good grades and class standing among the bunch. He’s my 2nd favorite because I thought he’s so naïve and innocent like a sheep. But it seemed like he was a wolf in a sheep’s clothing. xD He has the sweetest ending for me though.

Santa is your typical childhood friend guy who ends up falling in love with you but is too afraid to confess in consideration of your friendship. xD Honestly, he was my least favorite at first only to find out his cute side at the ending part of the game. If only they made the game a bit longer, I might seriously like Santa. xD

Syo is the transfer student from America who falls in love with you at first sight. He immediately asks you to go out with him during your first meeting. The next day, you find out that he transferred to your school as your classmate. I did Syo's route first before Yusuke's and Santa's. Nothing much happened in his route also apart from the usual bickering and bantering with the other guys. xD

If they'll ever make a sequel of this game, I hope they'd give more attention to the character development and relationship of the characters. I liked the art so I played this game but If I have to rate it I'd give it 6/10.
