Trip to Quiapo: Accessory and Jewelry Haven

Yesterday, My mom and I went on our 2nd trip to Quiapo to get materials and supplies for our online accessory shop. I'm not sure about Divisoria but according to what I've researched, Quiapo is known as a shopping district for ready-made accessories and raw materials. During our first visit, we were so overwhelmed or rather, I was so overwhelmed with the amount of materials available at Wellmanson. Wellmanson is quite famous on the internet because of the the wide range of items it offers. All the items are in good quality and are also inexpensively and fairly priced too. The store is also unexpectedly big inside and the ambiance is like that of a mall's; the items were arranged and organized accordingly and there were attentive clerks at almost every corner of the item rack.

There are also a lot of other good bead and accessory shop that we failed to visit during our first trip there. I forgot the other name of the shops but there is also a shop called D.I.Y and they sell cheaper supplies like beads, ring connectors, bracelet locks and pendants.

Anyway, here's what we got at Wellmanson yesterday:

We got chains of different sizes, some dangling beads for the bracelets but majority of the items here were from other shops.

We also got these chic and cute earrings from Wellmanson. My mom personally picked them. Look at that price, P35 a pair!

These key chains/phone straps were chosen by me. I thought I'd make the cute charms as pendants for necklaces or bracelets.

These gift items are also available at Wellmanson. Since I'm a bunny and coffee lover, I bought myself a new kawaii rabbit mug! I've also taken a liking to these cute kimono doll mascara and phone charm~  The best thing about these items is I got them all only for P197! ;))

These necklaces with fancy resin charms were from a different accessory shop.(sorry, I could not remember the name~)They might look kinda dull and boring here but they're actually pretty and shiny. We got them for less than a hundred~ ;D

I got these from the same shop. They are cute pastel kiddie beads for my fairy kei/pop kei/pastel jewelry collection. The beads are made of plastic but they look pretty nice and are at least crafted  proportionally. My favs here are the roses and ribbons! ;)

If you're also planning to buy accessories and gift items, Quiapo is the place for you but be sure to check other shops there aside from Wellmanson because sometimes there are other items that Wellmanson doesn't have and are cheaper. Enjoy shopping and crafting! ;)

My Thoughts About: Eleanor & Park

warning, spoilers ahead xD
I'm so glad I decided to read this wonderful piece of work. It really reminded me of the bittersweet memories of teenage years. Eleanor and Park is one perfect example of opposite attraction, mentally and physically speaking. But that really doesn't matter when romance is involved right?

When I read the plot summary I already felt tingly jitters inside of me. It sounds cheesy but it's true. I love how sweet and innocent their affection for each other was despite living in different and difficult circumstances. When Park first held and explored Eleanor's hand, when he told her he missed her, when he shared his precious comics to her, when he furiously declared to kill his own brother for calling her names, when he talked to her over the phone and told her he needed her, when he high-jumped kick his childhood friend's face for her.. there are so many instances in this story where my heart probably and literally skipped a beat because of Park's sweetness. I like guys like him. Sweet, cool but can let out a hearty laugh. I also liked Eleanor's strong personality and unique demeanor and how she endured her shitty life for the sake of being with Park and her siblings. Not all people can take all that crap in their life especially her psychotic jerk ass step father. Sorry for the mild cussing, I assure you though that her step dad deserves more cursing and beating.

The only things that dissatisfied me are the cliffhanger ending, Eleanor's mom's behavior towards her kids, Tina's unexpected allegiance to Eleanor and Park, Park's mom's failed attempt to do a complete make-over for Eleanor and the Prom! Aside from those, everything was perfect for me. I really wanted a sequel though because I badly want them to be together again.. :/

Oh I've been searching for fan made art works of these two and nothing really satisfied me so I searched for an anime avatar generator and made them how they appear to me. Eleanor's not fat here because there was no such option in the game lol but I think I did Park similarly. Park, why are you so handsome even if I'm only imagining that you look like this . xD ♥ ♥ ♥

Depression...

Oh geez.. Ever since I've graduated from college, I never thought I'd experience this degree of anxiety and depression that I'm currently suffering from. How many times has it been already that I've questioned my decision and choices in my life. It's only now that I think I'm regretting everything. My field of study is anything related to Marketing but now I don't think I want anything to do with jobs related to that. I feel like I wanted to do other things.. other great things that truthfully aren't really for me. I have this tendency of trying to attempt to be like those awesome people with amazing profession and talent. I greatly admire people who had a gift for creativity and art. I wanted to be like those fashion enthusiasts who make their own line of clothing and accessories. I badly wanted to become a web designer because I really think they are cool. I just want everything that I'm not. I really like singing not in a professional manner, but I just want to be able to sing properly and somehow make somebody appreciate my singing. At this point in my life, I'm not really sure what I really wanted to do. I envy people, I envy successful people. I decided to abandon my social life because I kept looking down on myself and thought everyone will probably belittle me if they know that I'm currently career-less, yes I don't want to call it jobless I'd just thought I'd seem more pathetic. Haha.

Lately, I'm drowning myself within a fictional world and setting. I just keep on watching anime series and reading fictional novels because somehow, I feel like I'm one of the characters in the story. That I am one of their companions and that I also live inside their own fantasy world. How convenient, huh? If only that feeling could last me a life time.

Gashapon Machines at Yoshinoya

I saw these Gashapon machines when me and my family ate at Yoshinoya (SM North) earlier. *A* I never noticed those machines there before, it was probably added there when Yoshinoya re-vamped the whole restaurant's interior. Gashapon/Gachapon is a well-known trademark brand of Bandai which is popular world wide for their capsule toys. You insert a token in the machine, turn the slot and wait for your random toy to come out. Yoshinoya sells the token for P60.00 ( roughly $1.39/¥137.76) each.

My Gashapon toys are from the Hello Kitty X Masked Rider series and there are 8 designs to collect! Please excuse the quality of the pictures.. these were only taken by my phone.

The toys are from Hello Kitty, Pokemon, Spongebob and others that I wasn't familiar with. I thought the Kitty phone straps were nice so I tried my luck on those. And on my first attempt here's what I got:

I was kinda frustrated when I saw it. It was like Hello Kitty cosplaying Bad Badtz-Maru and Cat Woman. Haha. So I tried another round and got this:

Hmm.. Not my fav among all the 8 designs but this was definitely better than the first one I got! :))

These are the other Kitty collectibles. So I now have Kitty #2 and #5. 6 more Kitties to go~ I definitely want that bunny kitty! *A* If you're also interested in these drop by at your nearest Yoshinoya branch now. :3

My Thoughts About: Ultra Maniac

image uploaded by chiekokawabe @ minitokyo
I watched the anime a couple of years ago when I was still in my early college days, I think. At that time, Ultra Maniac didn't appeal to me as much as it's manga did now. XD I thought the characters were cute especially Nina and Tsujiai. Kaji-kun wasn't really my type and so was Ayu. I prefer adorable girls like Nina and straightforward guys like Tsujiai.♥ I also believe that these two make a better couple because they genuinely like each other for what they are. Kaji and Ayu only begin to like each other because they both saw each other as cool and kind which were only created images of themselves. lol.

baww.. aren't these two so freaking cute? *U*
It was fun watching the series but the story was more focused on its magical aspects and competition between Maya and Nina. I was kinda getting tired of characters like Maya, I mean characters who always try to plot something and get in the hero/heroine's way almost every episode. -_- I can understand that they exist for comic relief but it can be so annoying sometimes especially when I want to see more development in the main characters' lives. >.< I can name a few who are like those--- Erina-chan (Kirarin Revolution), Kasumi (Super Gals), Christine (UFO Baby) and many other more. There are also mild ones like Sumire (Gakuen Alice) though. If the anime followed the manga's story closely it would have been waaay waaaay better. :< Also, I wanted a scene where Nina could take her friends to Magic Kingdom for an episode or two and let them experience magic. They could have also included in the anime and let people know that Nina wasn't really a failure witch that she seems to be. -_- And no matter how coward Yuta is when it comes to confessing, he should have stil let Nina know how he feels.. I kinda feel sorry for osananajimi-zoned (childhood friend) guys like him. xD

I really recommend the manga because it has more build it up romance and Maya wasn't really involved in the main story. And there were no such things as holy stones and prince in the manga. xD

But the best thing about the manga was the ending. The anime left us hanging and raging for more but the manga was able to tidy things up. :> My rating for the anime: 6/10 and for the manga: 8/10.

DIY#1: Kawaii-fied Flip-flops/Slippers

Lately I've been fond of looking at cute, colorful and fancy things then I stumbled upon what they call Fairy Kei fashion. I know pretty much about gothic and sweet lolita but it's been only recently that I've taken the time to research about this wonderful world of Fairy Kei. ♥ Also, because of this I became a fan of the adorable and lovely Princess Peachie. ♥♥♥

Anyway, I wanted to do something about these flip-flops of mine then I thought of this idea to kawaii-fy them. :D

Here are the things I used:
2 pairs of slippers
Yes, I used 2 pairs because I wanted it to make it like those platform sandals and it'll make me taller. lol xD ♥ You should have 2 pairs of the same size and kind to make it fit with each other. It's better if they are in different complimentary colors for a cuter look. Sorry for the LQ images.  I removed the rubber straps of one pair because it will be glued under the other pair.

cute erasers and super glue
Super glue because I wasn't sure if glue gun or rugby would work. lol :)) And.. these cutie bite-sized erasers are the highlight of this DIY. I used them for decorating the flip flops.

And this is my finished product. Tadaaan~

In the end, I decided to use the Cyan blue pair as the heels. xD

It doesn't really have to be erasers, you can also use beads, buttons, ribbons and anything you can find cutely appropriate. :D I already like the bright pink rubber straps but you can also wrap ribbon laces, fabric or yarn around the straps.

I hope you enjoyed my first DIY. If you tried doing this lemme see too. :D

My Thoughts About: Rozen Maiden (2013)

image uploaded by bdanime05 from Minitokyo
I just finished Rozen Maiden (2013) the other day and I have to say I kinda liked it better than the original. The series has 13 episodes like before but this time I eagerly watched all 13 episodes within a day which I only do if I was that addicted to something. xD I thought the parallel worlds concept this time was interesting rather than just the usual Alice fight and tea time party in the anime. Also, I was quite fond of the passive Jun from the future compared to the snappy Jun from the past. The only thing that I didn't like about the future Jun is that he didn't have the guts to punch that stupid ugly jerk boss of his. haha. The thing that made me really happy about this series though was Souseiseki's appearance. I like Sou a loooot better than Sui because of her cool and calm demeanor and "she" is somewhat princely to me. :)) And we have to thank a certain doll for that. :D Shinku is still an adorable Tsundure here but we also get to see her confused side. Suigintou.. I have mixed feelings about Suigintou here because the difference in her artwork from before changed how I view her. The old Suigintou appeared more evil and sinister but she seems more docile and nicer now. I don't think it's a bad thing though I'm sure there'll be another sequel because the ending was a beginning to another story and Suigintou and Shinku might become "temporary" allies again. As for the main antagonist Kira Kishou, I didn't feel any hatred towards her but I feel sorry for her instead. She must only wanted a body of her own and someone who needs her existence. :/

Btw, here's an old and new Shinku. Which on do you like better? :D I dig the new Shinku more.. The old one seemed more antique and doll-like though because of her eyes and it kinda creeps me out. xD The new artwork made theme seem more like small humans. xD

And here's a twincest screencap I found floating somewhere in the internet. ♥ If only Sou was biologically male. xD

Now for the ratings, 7/10. It wasn't really the best but it wasn't all that bad either. :>
