PSP: Sol Trigger

I've always wanted to try and play a Japanese RPG that is not translated into English. I often see those gamers posting their own gameplay of various Japanese games and majority of them claim to have not much knowledge about Nihonggo. I actually admire those people and since I have basic knowledge about Nihonggo (all thanks to anime and Japanese fandom), I want to try playing one as well. So I when I saw a game trailer of Sol Trigger in Youtube I've been itching to play it. :P

Sol Trigger ソールトリガー is a turn-based Japanese role-playing game developed by Image Epoch for the PSP. Imageepoch Inc. is known for their games in different gaming consoles/handhelds such as 7th Dragon, Luminous Arc serie, Sands of Destruction in Nintendo DS; Fate/Extra, Criminal Girls, Black Rock Shooter in PSP; Arc Rise Fantasia in Wii and Chevalier Saga Tactics and Tokitowa for the PS3. Sol Trigger was released in Japan on October 4, 2012.

(Pictures came from Sol Trigger's official Japanese site I put them altogether <3 span="span">

The main characters consist of Farel (protagonist), a sword wielder; Ema (main healer), a pistol user; Valter, a scythe user, Cyril (support/offense), a mace user; Sophie (mobber because of her AOE skills) a cannon expert and Gustaf (offense), an axe user. Farel is the main controllable character but you can choose 3 of your party members from Cyril, Sophie, Valter, Cyril and Gustaf. I personally like an all-girls party so I'm using Ema, Sophie and Cyril. :D What's great about this game is that you don't have to worry about those other characters you don't use of being under-leveled. If your party members are currently level twenty-eight, then the sub-members would also be level twenty-eight. I don't use Gustav and Valter but they are the same level as my party. Pretty convenient huh. :D

Here's an example of the battle system recorded by me. =)

I really like this game. I just learned earlier that every party member has its own story. For now, I've only seen Ema and I love her anime scene with Farel. I'm planning to complete all the character's story and master all their skills which will probably take some time. I also want to translate some cut scenes with voiced dialogues specially those with Farel and Ema, Sophie and Cyril.

For those who are reading this, you should get this game. You won't regret it. :D It's fun to play and you don't really need to know Japanese to finish the whole game. :)
