Anime: Sword Art Online Ep. 17

This post will be image heavy as I wanted to comment on several highlights of this episode. :D Here in episode 17, we finally get to know more about the new main characters in this season. One of them is Leafa, a strong-willed girl who is knowledgeable around Alfheim Online. She reminds me of  Link in the Zelda series because they have similar hair and outfit color not to mention that they are elvish. =) Leafa might be as well Link's female persona. xD Yeah, Leafa is pretty charming but I still prefer Asuna. :>

Leafa taught Kirito the basics of flying without the use of the controller. At first Kirito sucked at it then after a few swooshing and swinging around, he's starting to catch up with Leafa. As expected of the great beater Kirito-sama. xD

But only he didn't learn one of the most important things about flying, the way of proper landing. XD I really LOL-ed at this particular scene. xD Good thing Leafa knows basic healing spells.

Recon, Leafa's friend that we saw in the previous episode made an appearance again. Couldn't the maker of SAO thought of a better name? I feel sorry for Recon (Re-log in). Lol.

And sorry for bringing this up even I'm a girl haha, Leafa has big breasts. :3 I thought she was like Asuna. 8D *kidding*

I just confirmed in this episode that my hunch before was right. Leafa's real identity is none other than Suguha, Kirito's cousin. xD SAO's leaning towards some incest elements as Suguha's feelings for Kirito are somewhat obvious. @_@

And Asuna finally made an appearance as Alfheim's fairy queen, Titania and she's supposed to be that bastard Sugou's wife in the game. I used to think that maybe Asuna's memories in this game has been wiped out especially her memories of Kirito but thank God that was not the case.

On the other hand, Sugou is Alfheim's fairy king Oberon and the game master as well. He confessed to Asuna that his real intention in making the game is to have the players as experiment subjects. Sugou claims that he's conducting experiments about altering memories of a person and later on sell that technology to some American corporation. This bastard is so greedy and selfish I just want to beat him to a pulp.

Hurry Kirito, Asuna needs you.. :/

PSP: Sol Trigger

I've always wanted to try and play a Japanese RPG that is not translated into English. I often see those gamers posting their own gameplay of various Japanese games and majority of them claim to have not much knowledge about Nihonggo. I actually admire those people and since I have basic knowledge about Nihonggo (all thanks to anime and Japanese fandom), I want to try playing one as well. So I when I saw a game trailer of Sol Trigger in Youtube I've been itching to play it. :P

Sol Trigger ソールトリガー is a turn-based Japanese role-playing game developed by Image Epoch for the PSP. Imageepoch Inc. is known for their games in different gaming consoles/handhelds such as 7th Dragon, Luminous Arc serie, Sands of Destruction in Nintendo DS; Fate/Extra, Criminal Girls, Black Rock Shooter in PSP; Arc Rise Fantasia in Wii and Chevalier Saga Tactics and Tokitowa for the PS3. Sol Trigger was released in Japan on October 4, 2012.

(Pictures came from Sol Trigger's official Japanese site I put them altogether <3 span="span">

The main characters consist of Farel (protagonist), a sword wielder; Ema (main healer), a pistol user; Valter, a scythe user, Cyril (support/offense), a mace user; Sophie (mobber because of her AOE skills) a cannon expert and Gustaf (offense), an axe user. Farel is the main controllable character but you can choose 3 of your party members from Cyril, Sophie, Valter, Cyril and Gustaf. I personally like an all-girls party so I'm using Ema, Sophie and Cyril. :D What's great about this game is that you don't have to worry about those other characters you don't use of being under-leveled. If your party members are currently level twenty-eight, then the sub-members would also be level twenty-eight. I don't use Gustav and Valter but they are the same level as my party. Pretty convenient huh. :D

Here's an example of the battle system recorded by me. =)

I really like this game. I just learned earlier that every party member has its own story. For now, I've only seen Ema and I love her anime scene with Farel. I'm planning to complete all the character's story and master all their skills which will probably take some time. I also want to translate some cut scenes with voiced dialogues specially those with Farel and Ema, Sophie and Cyril.

For those who are reading this, you should get this game. You won't regret it. :D It's fun to play and you don't really need to know Japanese to finish the whole game. :)

Anime: Sword Art Online Ep. 16

I just finished watching episode 16 of SAO a couple of minutes ago. I'm glad that they finally introduced the new fairy land virtual game, Alfheim Online, that I've been seeing in trailers.I prefer Kirito's black long coat before compared to his elf appearance now. For me he looked cooler and more badass before. :/ Hopefully he'd get a change of robes in the next episodes.

It seems that AO is actually a sub part of SAO that's why Kirito retained some of his skills though not all of his items could be read in AO's system but fortunately, he still had Yui's virtual heart in his inventory which actually revived Yui in the game. (Oh wait, what? I thought Asuna made Yui's heart as a pendant of a necklace that she was wearing? o.o)

I'm really glad to see here again. :D If Yui was an immortal object in SAO's system, here in AO she's a cuuteeeeeeee navigation pixie. Take a look at her transformed pixie perfect look and her size is pixie-fied too. <3 nbsp="nbsp">

And a new character is introduced but I am too lazy to search for her name. :D I'll know her name in the next episode for sure since she's one of the main characters in SAO for this season. When I first saw her in the trailer, I thought she was Sugu, Kirito's cousin. XD

Maybe it will be a while before we get to see Asuna again. :/

Dragon nest: Minotaur's nest first solo attempt

Two days ago, I attempted to solo Minotaur's Nest with my level 34 engineer. The dungeon was recommended for a party of 4 people that are at least level 24 so being 10 levels higher I thought I should give it a try. Together with my robot army Alfredo and the mecha ducks, I entered the nest without really knowing what's waiting for me inside... *panic*

At first, I could handle Minotaur's minions. Setting all my cannon attacks and shooting my ducks here and there but when Minotaur itself engaged us in a battle, I always found myself getting dragged around by him. >.< He was huge and enormous for my loli character that sometimes I could no longer see myself. lol. With around 4 to 5 deaths, I still managed to kill him and had all the loots for myself. I got lucky with that S-rank and the epic Cow Strike heraldry. =) My character was only geared up with a +7 Gaia set (with the suffixes and enhancements). I'll probably get myself epic gears upon becoming a Gear Master. :)

Bad Job Application Experience

I just want to share my experience with this BS II Company in Ortigas and it's "fraudulent" ways to get people to work for them. A month ago, I received a text message coming from a certain Ms. Ella who was telling me to come for an interview the next day. Supposedly, there were hiring people from all kinds of courses for their newly opened office at Ortigas Tektite Building. At that time, me and my best friends were having a sleep over here at my house so I asked my friends if they want to come with me next time. They agreed and so the three of us went to Phil. Stock Exchange Center Tektite bldg. and decided to check the job opportunity being offered. When we arrived there, a man around early 30's asked us if we were there for a job application. I said yes and he offered us to check out their office inside the Phil. Stock Exchange Center. I asked him what company he was talking about and it seems that it was the same company that we're actually looking for. The guy asked us if we were there for an appointment and I told him yes with Ms. Ella and he asked again if I had an appointment with Ms. Ella that certain day. When I told him "no" he told us that he'd be our contact person instead and that if we were asked by the company how we learned about them, we'd tell them that we're only walk-in applicants. Me and my friends made glances at each other and we're starting to think that something's kinda fishy. With caution, we went with our "contact person" and he guided us a couple of floors up the building (can't remember the exact floor). We were guided inside a room with only tables and chairs that is packed with applicants . Nothing more. There were no computers or other office equipments of some sort. We were immediately presented to their Senior Area Manager and he was the one who conducted the interview with all three of us. Actually, one of our friends was only there to accompany us but people from that company insisted that she too should participate in the interview, seminar as well as the exams. So okay we finished the initial interview, attended their afternoon seminar and took the exams. It turned out that there were fees to be paid for us to become hired by the company. Part of their requirements is for us to pay P500 which they called their "accreditation fee" and to avail at least one of their offered products which is around P2k+ I think. There was no job to begin with. They hire people to recruit other people and for those people to recruit more people. It's a pyramid marketing scam. They earn through those requirement fees that they collect from their applicants. The senior area manager even told us that he could pay for the 500 on our behalf and we could just pay it the next day but good thing we were smart enough not to be deceived by them. Finally, he told us that we are hired *insert evil sarcastic laugh here* and that we should come back the next day. We said we would. When we got home, we blocked their numbers and laughed how we almost made a fool of ourselves. :D

It is BS II Company located in Phil. Stock Exchange Center, Tektite Bldg. in Ortigas. Now, I'm merely sharing my bad experience with this certain company. For all those job seekers, please always be cautious. Don't just barge in a company after they contact you. Make a research first about the company and decide whether the company is legit or worth your time/money.

Anime: Sword Art Online Ep. 12

This episode breaks my heart. How could they kill such an adorable and nice character. :'( When Yui first appeared in episode 11, I thought Kirito and Asuna would finally have their happy      family inside that damned virtual world. So much for keeping my hopes up. :/

Oh well, this probably goes to show that SAO isn't your typical yey-Kirito-Asuna-became-a-couple-we-should-celebrate kind of anime. Kirito should just give Asuna a real baby, kidding. :3
