[Life] Got myself braces~

I am the awkward type among the confident bunch of people. One of the main reasons why is because I feel conscious whenever I smile. I just don't have the guts to smile with my teeth showing. I have these hideous large front teeth that  makes me look like a bunny. (I love bunnies though!) I spoke to my parents about this and I'm glad they supported my decision. Good thing my dad have an acquaintance who happens to be a dentist so I could get a discount. (hurray!)

I was planning to get my teeth fixed on my birthday (August 21) as a special gift for myself but, things happened so I had to postpone this until today. xD

Last week, I had my dad talk to his friend and schedule me for an appointment. I was advised to get dental x-ray done which I immediately accomplished within the week. And today, I finally had my braces placed! It took almost three hours to complete the entire procedure. I was skeptical at first because I've been hearing scary stories about getting braces and how painful it was. The only painful thing for me was the room temperature in the clinic. Lol. Other than that, I didn't feel any discomfort at all. The sad thing though is, I can no longer eat as fast as lightning and enjoy any food I like. *sob*

Here's me with my braces on. Please excuse the exhausted look. Haha. I got mine in Periwinkle~

Now, I just need to prepare my pain killers for the upcoming days. Hopefully, it won't hurt that much. :<

SPI Global Hiring Process

I just want to share my grueling experience while applying in SPI Global. It all started last May 27 when my friend and I were endorsed by Telepremiere (BPO company) to SPI Global Manila site for a local voice account position. We had our initial interview there as well and we were advised that they will profile us to a western union account with 16,000 basic salary. My friend and I agreed and thus went to SPI Global in Welcome Rotonda. Since we were already endorsed by TP, we skipped the initial interviews and took the written exam and typing test. After that, we were scheduled for call simulation and final interview the following Monday, June 1. We were also asked if it's okay for us to be assigned in Ortigas area in which me and my friend agreed along with the other applicants who passed that day.  So everything was going smooth at that point until Monday.. Our appointment was supposed to be at 11am so we arrived there 30 minutes earlier. We waited.. until it was already 12:30 in the after noon and we were asked by the hr personnel to take our lunch first and come back at 1pm. We impatiently waited then around 2pm we were each given reviewers for the call sim. We were already annoyed/tired and anxiously monitored the time. After a few minutes the call simulation finally started but only a few of us applicants got to finish the process. At around  3pm, we were asked to take our snack break and come back at 3:30 pm. Me and my friend were on the verge of boycotting the entire process because the recruitment team really sucked at following their scheduled appointments. Imagine we wasted 5 hours for nothing. So fast forward to 3:30 pm and once again, we were asked to wait until 5 pm because there was an emergency. Like what the heck right? So yeah we furiously waited again for another 1 and a half hours and here came the shocking news. The hr assistant told us that "unfortunately" the person who was supposed to handle call simulation is currently not available so they needed to reschedule the call sim/final interview for tomorrow. Wow. Instead of a 1-day hiring process it became a daily hiring process. I felt so sorry for us applicants who wasted money, time and effort on that particular day. But okay. Since it has already come to this so might as well proceed. The next day, we were rescheduled for 1 pm but my friend and I decided to arrive late (haha) and got there around 2 pm. and STILL, they haven't started a damn thing. The call sim finally started around 3:30 pm and it was already 5 pm by the time we finished. They informed us that they will just call us to inform the results and schedule us again for the final interview. They did call the next day and informed me and my friend that we passed and got scheduled for the finally, final final interview. HAHA. Okay so here comes the judgement day, june 4, I was told to come at 1 pm while the others were scheduled at 11 am. I arrived on time and got intervied around 3 pm. My friend who was scheduled for 11 am actually got interviewed at a later  time than I did. xD So yeah we finally freaking passed and were provided the list of requirements but the greatest disappointment was.. we were not initially informed that the position we were applying for was only project-based which will last 2-3 months maximum. So wow. All that effort.. and I don't even know if all the troublesome experiences were worth it.

The recruitment team was very disorganized but good thing they are nice people. So good luck to future applicants and don't forget to bring your patience, lots of it, if you're planning to apply in SPI Global. :)

Farewell my Bun :)

Yesterday is the saddest day of my life. Our bunny Loki passed away yesterday morning. He's a Dwarf Lionhead rabbit who had been with use for almost three years now. He was such a healthy bunny before so his death was so sudden for us. He was acting weird the night before and he even didn't touch his food/water. That morning when I checked on him, I noticed how lifeless he was as he lay on his side with his eyes wide open. I tried anything to make him respond - I touched his foot and patted his head but there was really no response anymore. The thought that he's already gone still wouldn't register on me. I sat for a while beside him bawling my eyes out as I desperately wait for a miracle to happen...

And he's really gone.. I prepared a grave for him at the back of our house. I've never mourned so much before in my whole life. I lost a companion, a friend, a family member and most of all a son. :') Loki made me realize that our lives are too short to worry, complain and regret. I know he's happy now somewhere over the rainbow with his other sisters. :)

I'm somehow glad to say that I've brought another baby bun in our home. He is definitely not a replacement for Loki as "nobunny" will ever replace his spot in our hearts but he'll be another bundle of joy to my family. :) But still.. I really miss my baby :")

Depression...

Oh geez.. Ever since I've graduated from college, I never thought I'd experience this degree of anxiety and depression that I'm currently suffering from. How many times has it been already that I've questioned my decision and choices in my life. It's only now that I think I'm regretting everything. My field of study is anything related to Marketing but now I don't think I want anything to do with jobs related to that. I feel like I wanted to do other things.. other great things that truthfully aren't really for me. I have this tendency of trying to attempt to be like those awesome people with amazing profession and talent. I greatly admire people who had a gift for creativity and art. I wanted to be like those fashion enthusiasts who make their own line of clothing and accessories. I badly wanted to become a web designer because I really think they are cool. I just want everything that I'm not. I really like singing not in a professional manner, but I just want to be able to sing properly and somehow make somebody appreciate my singing. At this point in my life, I'm not really sure what I really wanted to do. I envy people, I envy successful people. I decided to abandon my social life because I kept looking down on myself and thought everyone will probably belittle me if they know that I'm currently career-less, yes I don't want to call it jobless I'd just thought I'd seem more pathetic. Haha.

Lately, I'm drowning myself within a fictional world and setting. I just keep on watching anime series and reading fictional novels because somehow, I feel like I'm one of the characters in the story. That I am one of their companions and that I also live inside their own fantasy world. How convenient, huh? If only that feeling could last me a life time.
