My Thoughts About: Helter Skelter Manga

Helter Skelter manga is written and illustrated by Kyoko Okazaki . It follows the story of Ririko, a famous celebrity who is a product of multiple cosmetic surgeries, as she struggles to keep her fame and beauty. This masterpiece shows the sad reality of what our society reflects today. People tend to give more importance to appearance rather than other aspects of a person. This wonderful piece serves as an eye-opener to women/men that beauty and youth are not the only things that define you as a person. After finishing both the manga and movie, I still have mixed feelings about Ririko's character. I feel sorry for her but at the same time, I also feel that she got that perfect "ending" that she deserved. Yes, I do understand that she underwent some serious psychological issues/identity crisis but not enough to abuse her manager (Hada and her stupid boyfriend) and the people around her like that. Her actions perfectly reflected how f*cked up her mind had become.

But then again, I can somehow blame society for what she had become. If only people were not too judgmental and not too fixated on fleeting beauty. I have nothing against plastic surgery but I firmly believe that it is not the only way to become "beautiful". Beauty doesn't always equate to Youth and vice versa.

Diabolik Lovers: Sakamaki Kanato Walkthrough and CGs

uploaded by anther @ minitokyo

Kanato is the fourth son among the Sakamaki brothers and the second oldest of the triplets. He is a mix between Tsundere, acts mean and violent on the outside but sweet in the inside and Yandere, kills those who are meddling with him and his love interest. Ayato calls him hystery because he's like a screaming demon-possessed child. I usually read hate comments about him because of his violent personality but despite this, he also has his own way of showing his sweetness. Kanato always carries with him a stuffed teddy bear with an eyepatch in his left eye that he treasures dearly. He is also very fond of their mother, Cordelia.

Kanato is my favorite among the bunch. I know he can be really scary especially when he makes you visit the graveyard while he whispers eerily into your ear, or when he takes you to his room of creepy dolls while he threatens to dolly-fy you, or when he stabs you with a fork and kisses you gently but I still believe that he loves Yui innocently. Personally, I think he's not that bad compared to perverted Laito. I also love him because I have a thing for shotas (hehe) and because Kaji Yuuki was his seiyuu. The eyebags are also part of his goth-vampiric charm as well as his lavender hair!

WALKTHROUGH
This guide is intended for players who don't understand japanese characters (like me!). I played the route again to write this guide so please do not repost as your own, linking is fine. Thanks!
*Thanks to Burogublog and Lunarhalcyon for the tips!*

Un Lock: You raise the love meter if you get the right answer. If you see hearts on your screen then you answered correctly. Follow these guide and you'll be fine but to be safe, quick save first before picking an answer. (quick save = L1/quick load = R1)

Lock: There are no right or wrong answers here. It all depends on what ending you want to get. The answer can be Sadistic (Violet) or Masochistic (Blue).  For S you see a violet chandelier and for M you see a blue one. I already indicated in this guide the colors for each dialogue (1st answer/2nd answer).

In the ending part of each lock scenario, you have to choose 2 answers from 3 options. If you get it correctly, there's a blood splatter. If you got 1 incorrect option then just re-do the scenario. (I'm not sure but I think this has something to do with unlocking the heaven scenarios so you have to do everything correctly.)

Endings: To unlock the endings--
Good = must have at least 45 M meter (answer mostly in M)
Normal = must have at least 45 S meter (answer mostly in S)
Bad = both meters must be less than 45 (it can be S=40 M=20)

If there's any mistake, please tell I'd really appreciate it! And if this helped you, you could also let me know I'd be really glad, thanks and enjoy playing~ ;)

My Thoughts About: Eleanor & Park

warning, spoilers ahead xD
I'm so glad I decided to read this wonderful piece of work. It really reminded me of the bittersweet memories of teenage years. Eleanor and Park is one perfect example of opposite attraction, mentally and physically speaking. But that really doesn't matter when romance is involved right?

When I read the plot summary I already felt tingly jitters inside of me. It sounds cheesy but it's true. I love how sweet and innocent their affection for each other was despite living in different and difficult circumstances. When Park first held and explored Eleanor's hand, when he told her he missed her, when he shared his precious comics to her, when he furiously declared to kill his own brother for calling her names, when he talked to her over the phone and told her he needed her, when he high-jumped kick his childhood friend's face for her.. there are so many instances in this story where my heart probably and literally skipped a beat because of Park's sweetness. I like guys like him. Sweet, cool but can let out a hearty laugh. I also liked Eleanor's strong personality and unique demeanor and how she endured her shitty life for the sake of being with Park and her siblings. Not all people can take all that crap in their life especially her psychotic jerk ass step father. Sorry for the mild cussing, I assure you though that her step dad deserves more cursing and beating.

The only things that dissatisfied me are the cliffhanger ending, Eleanor's mom's behavior towards her kids, Tina's unexpected allegiance to Eleanor and Park, Park's mom's failed attempt to do a complete make-over for Eleanor and the Prom! Aside from those, everything was perfect for me. I really wanted a sequel though because I badly want them to be together again.. :/

Oh I've been searching for fan made art works of these two and nothing really satisfied me so I searched for an anime avatar generator and made them how they appear to me. Eleanor's not fat here because there was no such option in the game lol but I think I did Park similarly. Park, why are you so handsome even if I'm only imagining that you look like this . xD ♥ ♥ ♥

My Thoughts About: Ultra Maniac

image uploaded by chiekokawabe @ minitokyo
I watched the anime a couple of years ago when I was still in my early college days, I think. At that time, Ultra Maniac didn't appeal to me as much as it's manga did now. XD I thought the characters were cute especially Nina and Tsujiai. Kaji-kun wasn't really my type and so was Ayu. I prefer adorable girls like Nina and straightforward guys like Tsujiai.♥ I also believe that these two make a better couple because they genuinely like each other for what they are. Kaji and Ayu only begin to like each other because they both saw each other as cool and kind which were only created images of themselves. lol.

baww.. aren't these two so freaking cute? *U*
It was fun watching the series but the story was more focused on its magical aspects and competition between Maya and Nina. I was kinda getting tired of characters like Maya, I mean characters who always try to plot something and get in the hero/heroine's way almost every episode. -_- I can understand that they exist for comic relief but it can be so annoying sometimes especially when I want to see more development in the main characters' lives. >.< I can name a few who are like those--- Erina-chan (Kirarin Revolution), Kasumi (Super Gals), Christine (UFO Baby) and many other more. There are also mild ones like Sumire (Gakuen Alice) though. If the anime followed the manga's story closely it would have been waaay waaaay better. :< Also, I wanted a scene where Nina could take her friends to Magic Kingdom for an episode or two and let them experience magic. They could have also included in the anime and let people know that Nina wasn't really a failure witch that she seems to be. -_- And no matter how coward Yuta is when it comes to confessing, he should have stil let Nina know how he feels.. I kinda feel sorry for osananajimi-zoned (childhood friend) guys like him. xD

I really recommend the manga because it has more build it up romance and Maya wasn't really involved in the main story. And there were no such things as holy stones and prince in the manga. xD

But the best thing about the manga was the ending. The anime left us hanging and raging for more but the manga was able to tidy things up. :> My rating for the anime: 6/10 and for the manga: 8/10.

My Thoughts About: Rozen Maiden (2013)

image uploaded by bdanime05 from Minitokyo
I just finished Rozen Maiden (2013) the other day and I have to say I kinda liked it better than the original. The series has 13 episodes like before but this time I eagerly watched all 13 episodes within a day which I only do if I was that addicted to something. xD I thought the parallel worlds concept this time was interesting rather than just the usual Alice fight and tea time party in the anime. Also, I was quite fond of the passive Jun from the future compared to the snappy Jun from the past. The only thing that I didn't like about the future Jun is that he didn't have the guts to punch that stupid ugly jerk boss of his. haha. The thing that made me really happy about this series though was Souseiseki's appearance. I like Sou a loooot better than Sui because of her cool and calm demeanor and "she" is somewhat princely to me. :)) And we have to thank a certain doll for that. :D Shinku is still an adorable Tsundure here but we also get to see her confused side. Suigintou.. I have mixed feelings about Suigintou here because the difference in her artwork from before changed how I view her. The old Suigintou appeared more evil and sinister but she seems more docile and nicer now. I don't think it's a bad thing though I'm sure there'll be another sequel because the ending was a beginning to another story and Suigintou and Shinku might become "temporary" allies again. As for the main antagonist Kira Kishou, I didn't feel any hatred towards her but I feel sorry for her instead. She must only wanted a body of her own and someone who needs her existence. :/

Btw, here's an old and new Shinku. Which on do you like better? :D I dig the new Shinku more.. The old one seemed more antique and doll-like though because of her eyes and it kinda creeps me out. xD The new artwork made theme seem more like small humans. xD

And here's a twincest screencap I found floating somewhere in the internet. ♥ If only Sou was biologically male. xD

Now for the ratings, 7/10. It wasn't really the best but it wasn't all that bad either. :>

My Thoughts About: Magi The Labyrinth of Magic

I just finished watching this awesome anime series yesterday and I can't really properly say how much I enjoyed it! It's been a while since I was able to find an anime that I marathon-ed within two days just to finish. Magi is a story about the adventures of two friends, Aladdin and Alibaba. I love that the series shows the importance of unconditional  friendship and unfaltering loyalty. The story tells us the many destinies changed and created by the bonds formed by these two. Although the story offers excitement and sometimes laughter to people, it also has its own fair share of darkness caused by poverty and injustice that is being experienced by people from different countries. This anime reminded me so much of various anime series that I grew up watching and loving like Hunter X Hunter, Fairy Tail and a bit of Shingeki no Kyojin.

Aladdin and Alibaba's friendship reminded me so much of Gon and Killua's from HxH. They travel together in their many adventures and depended on each other while facing obstacles on their travels. In my opinion, Aladdin is very similar to Gon especially their kindness and naivety. They both appear as their partners' strength and guide in times of confusion and weakness. Although Alibaba's a bit different from Killua's personality, they are similar in the sense of wanting to protect and be with their friend. Also, the constant use of fire and ice magic reminded me so much of Fairy Tail. Judal, one of the magi(s), appeared a lot similar to Fairy Tail's Gray Fullbuster and Midnight. Judal is the one in the far left, Midnght is the one in the middle and Gray is in the far right. They kinda look similar, ne?

I did say that this anime also reminded me a bit of Shingeki no KyoDjinn. xD and it is because of this. The djinns are like titans because of their enormous size and strength but personally, I believe djinns are more useful and of course friendly compared to the titans. They're also cuter too. Look at Ugo-kun. What a kawaii face he has. xD

And another reason why I love this anime so much is because I ship the main characters with each other (with the exception of Aladdin). Morgiana is soooo adorable especially when she pouts and supposedly blushes because of Alibaba. xD I hope the pairing can be canon in the future. xD

So overall, I really liked this series. The battles weren't really exceptional but the story is well told. I cannot wait for the second season. ;)

Otome Game: Zayay

Zayay is a short otome/mystery game made by Alera. The game has five different endings with about an hour of gameplay. You unlock an extra content after completing all the endings. You can get the game here

You wake up in a somewhat eerie place having no recollection of your memories. The first person that you meet is Zayo Byrone, an adorable looking demon bunny. But don’t let his cute and naive appearance deceive you though. You ended up asking him to help you get back your memories again to which he willingly agrees and even considers it a date. He brings you to a restaurant with quite exotic food, shows you downtown either to buy sweets or clothing, tours you around the forest to find berries and even accompanies you to the castle to meet their god.

It took me some time before I get Zayo to get attached to me. I tried searching for guides in the net but I just followed the hint from the author which is to be cute, naive and agreeable to the demon bunny and that's what I did so I somehow managed to get the real ending that I was lacking.

I tried to make a half-assed attempt at a walkthrough. I'm not really sure which ending is which since almost all the endings are somewhat similar to each other. ;_; But here it is anyway. You can get 3 different endings by following this path.

Walkthrough?

poke his ears
ask for help
A date?
go to forest
bears?!
we should be careful then
i love berries!
right
y-yes
take it and eat it
w-what is it?
thank you...
yes!
go to graveyard
war?
a g-gshost?!
say something
do you know any ghost stories?
we should investigate
how can you tell?
it's quite big..
i dont like them either
downtown
go to town
a bit...
sweets
i have money.
bloodstained roses
go to the restaurant
it's nice!
i want to order...
angel wings
w-what do you mean?
w-what?
why are you so nice to me?
stop asking
Deamond's castle
who is Deamond?
go to the castle
front door
say something.
do you really believe in your god?
who is Helia?
(save first)
stay with Zayo - lies ending
confess love - rejected
leave him - another ending

O+ 8.36 Android Phone

I got myself a new android phone, O+ 8.36, last week. I'm not that picky when it comes to cellphones since I'm fine with anything that can play games and music so I purchased an inexpensive but decent phone this time. I bought mine at SM North Annex for a price of P3,999. I have to say O+ is generous for including a free 4GB Sandisk microsd card and Globe sim card at that cheap price. Initially I was choosing between this, Cherry Mobile Flare and Samsung Galaxy Chat B5530. It's a good thing that I got to stress test this phone before buying it. I wanted to try Flare but it seems like CM doesn't allow customers to test their phones before buying them. When I went to the store, one customer was purchasing Flare and there seemed to be a problem with the unit. I immediately left the store because I got turned off lol and afraid that I'd get a phone that won't last for months. Also, I read a LOT of reviews before buying and I learned that Flare's battery isn't for heavy use. I also went looking for the Samsung Galaxy Chat but was told that the unit is bundled and only available for Sun Cellular budget plans. I wanted that phone too because I'm still not used in texting with touch phones so I thought a phone with touch and type function would be good. :<

Anyway, I'm still glad I bought O+ 8.36 instead, the Air Shuffle feature is awesome. You can take pictures and change music with just a swipe of your finger. :D I still don't know why this unit is so underrated, it is quite decent though considering the prices and specs.

Specs and Features (from cmkcellphones.com)

  • Network: Quadband and 3G
  • Size:3.5" inches Capacitive Touchscreen
  • Sim: Dual Sim Dual Standby
  • WiFi: YES
  • bluetooth: YES
  • Air Shuffle for music, image Browsing and Camera
  • Internal Memory:
  • Card Slot: upto 32gb sd card
  • Camera: 3.2 mega pixel
  • Front Camera: VGA
  • OS: Android 4.1 Jelly bean
  • Processor: 1GHz Processor
  • Colors: black, pink and yellow
I decided to get the pink one though you couldn't clearly spot the pink housing here because of the purple jelly case.

This was the first theme that I used. I really loved it but now I'm using the bunny one up there. *U*

At first it was awkward for me to type my messages but I got used to it immediately. The phone has soft touch so there's not much problem in texting and browsing.

As for the camera quality, it is nothing fancy but not that bad too. For the price of 4k the quality is quite decent. These are unedited pictures (aside from the borders and text) taken by the rear camera.

I always edit my photos anyway so the cam quality is okay for me. This our fluffy bunny btw, Loki. ;3

My random colorful tees.

This phone runs on Android 4.1 Jelly Bean so you can expect the games to run smoothly.  I didn't download many games since I do my android gaming on my tablet  but I tried playing Minion Rush which would usually lag on my tablet but worked pretty well in this phone. Casual games like Pudding Monster and Cut the Rope runs perfectly fine here.

If you're not really a heavy user and only use your phone for texting and occasional web browsing, the battery lasts for about more or less 2 days.

So all in all I can say that I'm quite satisfied with this phone. ;)

Edit: After two months of use, I'm starting to see the cons of this phone. One is the battery has been draining a lot quicker now. I have to charge my phone everyday and I'm not really a heavy user. I just play games for a while, browse Instagram a bit then the usual texting and my battery usually drops 30 to 40% at the end of the day. Another thing is my internal memory is always full and a message prompts me to clear data. I already removed most of my games and apps but I'm still running low on my internal memory. I have a lot of space in my phone storage and memory card though, the only problem is the internal memory. Also, whenever I listen to music, I notice a static sound and the song lags a lot. :< So for interested users, you might want to try looking for a better phone.

My Thoughts About: Tonari no Kaibutsu-kun

Too bad the number of anime series with 24 to 26 episodes are rarely released these days. Lovely Complex, Kaichou wa maid-sama, Ouran High School Host Club, Special A and many others are some of my favorite series that had 20+ episodes but I still ended up yearning for more which lead me to also read their manga . TNK is one among those many series that I really wish they decided to adapt in 20+ episodes long. :/ Geez, recently if not all but most of the anime series are 12/13 episodes only and are in the harem genre with female chars having big breasts and the like. -_- A story can be wonderful even without those overly-sized breasts and dirty jokes and that's what TNK is to me though it was veeerrrrry short and I believe there are still more stories to be told as said by Mitty herself during the end of the last episode.

Now there are 3 couples that I ship in this series. Couple #1 is of course Haru and Shizuku, the lead canon couple of the TNK series. During the first episode, I thought Shizuku would be like Misaki Kaichou (Kaichou wa Maid-sama) who desperately hides her feelings towards Usui but good thing that was not the case with her. I had this idiotic grin on my face when she confessed to Haru on episode 2. x3 I thought typical female leads like her end up saying nothing all throughout the storys making the guy misunderstand everything. But Haru is also as complicated as the twists and knots of barb wires so we can't expect their relationship to go that smoothly anyway.  -_-'

Couple #2, to me at least, is Shizuku and Yamaken. OMG Yamaken, you're the main reason why I started watching TNK again. 8D When I found out that his seiyuu is Terashima Takuma, I decided to push through the anime again but.. I was kinda surprised because he doesn't sound like Takuma at all judging from his cute and refreshing Ittoki Otoya voice. @_@ Yamaken's voice is cool and mature contrary to Otoya. @_@ Anyway, Yamaken is so cute. haha, I think he's just a plain Tsundere. xD I always laugh at his moments whenever he tries too hard to think of something to get Shizuku's attention. Like that time when he also applied for Winter Cram school just to be with Shizuku. ahaha. XD But he's especially adorable when he's teasing Haru and making him oh-so face-smashing jealous. :))) Yamaken, I feel so sorry for you somehow because Shizuku is soooo dense and you're not the lead char so there's no future for you and her. ;( I always sympathize for characters like him.

and the last pairing that I ship hardly now is Suzuyan and Natsume. I've seen those Tumblr posts before about them and they caught my interest. I know they aren't officially a couple yet in the anime series but they look good together. It's obvious that Suzuyan has feelings for her based on his reactions whenever they talk about Mi-chan san. But Natsume only has eyes for Mi-chan at the moment and only thinks of Suzuyan as a "friend that she's comfortable with". Natsume hasn't realized it yet but I know she's also hiding some feelings for Suzuyan. Aww.. I like carefree and cheerful guys like Suzuyan (that's why I love Otoya from Utapri) because they make me feel calm. <3 nbsp="">

Geez, I still don't want to get my hopes up for a season 2 so maybe I'd just try the manga. ;_; I'd like to give this a rate of 7/10 also.

My Thoughts About: Ao no Exorcist

I just finished watching Ao no Exorcist series as well as the movie and specials and I have to say that I quite enjoyed the show particularly the movie. The movie was full of action and I got to see Rin's brotherly side towards Usamaru that he didn't get to show much to Yukio since he's such a somewhat tsuntsun, stiff and overly serious lil' brother. -_- Seriously Yukio, loosen up a bit will you. Be cute and adorable for a change. >.<

The anime series was good but I think it somehow lacked missions to showcase the esquires' skills and abilities. When I first watched the anime, I was expecting to see exciting missions as they progress through their exorcism training but the show focused on a different path. ;( Rin and Yukio overpowered the others too much as all the others showed were just basic mantra chants and summoning skills. I would have loved to see the others perform each of their own unique abilities like.. let's say Shiemi conjuring some holy exorcising spell, Izumo doing mighty combo attacks with her familiars and trio, (Suguro, Konekomaru, Shima) performing what they do best in their former shrine. -.- But the biggest let down for me was Kuro.. I thought she was supposed to be THE strongest exorcist's familiar but what the heck.. she just went and run away for like 1/3 of the series and then she just appears at the last episode doing what? Being the twins' soaring transportation. -.-

I'd rate this series 7/10. Please give us a season 2 and let us see Rin become an awesome Paladin or something. x3

Anyway, I loved the series mostly because of Rin and Rin alone. Yes Rin. I would marry Rin over Yukio ANYTIME. Who wouldn't love a guy that can cook well? 8D

My Thoughts About: Pretear

So lately I was searching for a good reverse harem series to watch and stumbled upon Pretear. I know it was aired in one of our local television stations before but I didn't get to see it though. Pretear is kinda similar to Fushigi Yuugi with the guardians and Sailor Moon with the magical transformation and stuff. The character art is good and looked like characters from Magic Knight Rayearth especially their eyes. The guardians are all good-looking and the 3 kid guardians are cute as well. I'm into the nice guys so during the first episode, I kinda like Sasame but I realized Hayate is awfully handsome maybe more so if he'd cus his hair short. x3 At first I was a bit hesitant to watch the anime because I thought it had that usual magical girl story where the heroine gets magical powers and fights evil that is trying to destroy the world. Well the story is kinda like that though, Himeno was the new chosen Pretear by the 7 leaf guardians to get rid of the demon leeches (or something like that xD) commanded by the Princess of Darkness *coughs* Takako, former Pretear, *ahem* to suck the life force out of everything. The story is fine but I felt that it was too short. They could have at least made the series into 24/26 episodes. The characters background weren't really developed well and the romance between Himeno and Hayate was reaaally lacking. T.T The ending seemed a bit rush too and the kiss seemed forcefully added in the ending. Oh well I was happy that Sasame, the guardian of sound, was revived but It would have been better for me if Takako just perished instead *U* since she was the real cause of the  whole mayhem after all. -.-

My Thoughts About: Shingeki no Kyojin

Even titans can be handsome. ;P

This is not a review or anything of that sort since I'm not really good in writing reviews. ^^, I am writing this to express my thoughts and opinion about the anime series. Okay so I just spent an almost entire day catching up with this anime and I have to say that I'm glad I decided to watch it even if it's main stream these days. First, I really liked the first opening theme, Guren no Yumiya, it has a feeling to it that gives the anime an impression of "war" and "death" and I somehow find it refreshing. xD After finishing the first episode, I already felt glued to the series and  became easily attached to the characters especially to Mikasa. I loved how passive but at the same time caring she appears towards Eren. I prefer strong heroines and those that are not too loud and bitchy. xD Eren on the other hand is a bit annoying and selfish in the first few episodes which led to the death of some of their friends and I really seem to hate him during those moments but he's a character that becomes likable enough after a few episodes though. I just hope the series continue to be more interesting from now on and not loose its touch. After seeing Levi, I believe he would bring more color to the wonderful series. ;)
